A Smoking ban in public buildings is warranted. Bars for smokers only is warranted. Any place that allows smoking should be well marked before anyone walks in. That way people have a choice. The way it is now, not everyone has a choice. That freedom has been taken away. Clinton's battle with the tobacco companies has only hurt the consumer, not the tobacco companies. The government adds taxes to tobacco and again we have taxation without representation.

My complaint is not against alcohol, what I am complaining about is I like to play the slot machines at the Stray Cat in Romney, WV. Today there were 3 people chain smoking one after another. There is NO ventilation system to extract the smoke. I am in the advance stages of COPD and a senior citizen, retired military with 44 years govenment sevice and feel I have the right to enjoy playing the slots and not having smoke being blown in my face. Something needs to be done.

i can go along with the ban at high school level sporting eventsbut not at auto racing or outdoor college or professional level events, and banning it in bars is a method used by people who are against consuming alcohol and are using this ban as a tool to deterime it,that's it simply and to the point,it takes the enjoyment of having a night out for couples who have enough since to drink at a hotel lounge even so they won't be driving after drinking,it hurts business across the nation in all communitys, the ban in this case is a tool to try to enforce somes morality beliefs, which is an attack in this manner against our rights under the constitution of our nation.Bars should be at least permitted to operate under such names as smokers only if the owner so does choose to do so,signed and well informed to the public that there bar is strictly for those who do smoke, wish that someone would attempt to do so because that would have to satisfy the na sayers concerning this matter, nothing shall change my feelings on this subject ,I have just given a fair and just answer to this matter, hope more agree with me and my wife on this and voice their opinions to their elected officials on this, thanks to all for taking the time to read what myself and many of my friends agree on this matter.

If second-hand smoke is so dangerous, where is the lung cancer epidemic statistics that would support the fanatics' claims? 40% of the people smoked in the 60's and 70's. People worked their whole careers in smoke-filled offices. You fanatics show me the math. Your problem is you can't! So you quit! As in taking our freedoms away!
No smoking
I believe strongly that a smoking ban in all public places is warranted. There are too many people with respiratory problems from infancy to the elderly. If you desire to smoke and need to, please do not do it around others who do not smoke. It is your choice to do so, but also mine not to and to have an opinion just as others. I've seen several loved ones and friends with lung cancer that was brought about by smoking/smokers.
